Eating From the Garden: A Raw Food Celebration

Course Description

Enjoy the season’s harvest fresh from the organic garden.  Pick ingredients from the garden in preparation for Saturday dinner and Sunday brunch.  Immerse yourself in hands-on food preparation with Chefs Lillian and Eddie.  Plan and prepare the evening meal together consisting of soup, main dish, two sides and dessert.  The Sunday brunch includes blueberry pancakes, Brazil nut “sausage” and beverage.  Learn meal planning, knife skills, equipment use, ingredient substitutions, and nutrition and flavor profiles.  Students receive recipes of all dishes prepared and Raw for All Seasons Healthy Eating Handbook by Lillian and Eddie.

This course is open to all. However if you have a severe chronic condition or are on medication, please consult your doctor before registering for the program.

* Satsang - 30-minute silent meditation, kirtan / chanting, spiritual lecture. Daily activity schedule, and/or possible changes, will be announced at morning Satsang.

The course tuition (listed above) is for the workshops only. Your accommodation rate includes satsang, vegetarian meals and Hatha yoga classes which are offered twice daily.

Eating From The Garden: A Raw CelebrationMurali and Lakita

Husband and wife team Lillian and Eddie Robinson has more than 20 years of hands-on experience teaching healthy lifestyle practices based on a raw plant-based diet.  Their health journey began at the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico and led to the opening of Raw Soul Restaurant in New York City in 2002.  For the next 8 years they ran the restaurant, taught food preparation classes and chef trainings to the community and catered to health food stores.  In 2010, they closed the restaurant and went to the Sivananda Vedanta Yoga Ashram in India to further enhance their yoga practice, and adopted the spiritual names, Lakita and Murali.   Their duties included teaching yoga classes, raw food preparation classes and chef trainings to ashram guests.


Now that they are back in the states, they have continued their passion for teaching and preparing raw food.  In July of this year, they will open Longevity Foods, Juice Bar and Deli in Duvall, WA providing organic fresh juices, smoothies, sandwiches, wraps and salads to the local community.


We are pleased to welcome Lakita and Murali to the Sivananda Yoga Ranch. Their wisdom, experience, love and creativity make for a fun and memorable un-cooking experience.
